ALVA ALTA is a boutique firm established in 2009, following the emergence of decentralized solar energy and a decentralized internet, and in the midst of a financial crisis, and operating internationally from Switzerland.
The purpose of the firm is to support early-stage design and technology ventures, sometimes operating as investing vehicle in this field for partner entities.
The firm works with early-stage ventures arising from different types of organizations, including founding teams and research institutions and collaborates with industrial businesses and venture capital funds to support the first phases, from first sketches, calculations or proof of concept to proof of market. This mostly includes novel technologies and/ or spatial arrangements thereof, and mostly at the intersection of at least two design, energy and data means.
Our mission
Our mission is to assist good teams around very early or emerging technologies and arrangements thereof, reach market in the most appropriate time-to-market and value proposition. This is a main element to hedge risks and provide best returns on investment to stakeholders.
We consider that society and economic evolution faces increasing opportunities and challenges, including in respect of energy and information, and respective spatial arrangements.
Our vision
Our vision is to assist early-stage possibilities with positive human, societal, environmental and economic impact.
There have been also increasing means, both human and automated, for generating ideas. Yet, people, endeavoring and collaborating, their inspiration and motivations still play a central role.
